c.1950 Kenton Cast Iron "Dray Wagon" with Two Horses
Beautiful example of one of the last cast iron toys. All original "Dray Wagon" with two horses and driver. Although similar models were produced earlier in the century this version is c.1950. Black light confirmed that paint is all original without any touch-up or repainting. Consists of an 8" long green with gold trim dray wagon with cast iron body and tin painted bed. Inside wall of left wagon half is stamped "L". Right wagon half stamped "Made In U.S.A." and "2". Cast iron red wheels and harnessing, original cast iron driver, and cast iron horses (one black, one white; both with silver and gold trim on a single wooden wheel. Top center of the harness (approximately where cross member lies) is embossed "Made In U.S.A.". Reins are original to the toy. Size: 15". Sold: Oct. 2011
